prayer is that you will find all the information you need to get to know us better. On these pages,
you will enjoy reading about the most loving, friendly, and caring people that I have ever been
acquainted with!
I am honored to serve as pastor of Shawanee Baptist Church! Penny and I have a long history
with Shawanee. I first became acquainted with the church in 1993 when I came to be a part of
the membership and served as their music leader. In May 1994, the church first extended a call to
me to serve as their pastor when I graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. Penny and
I served the church until August 1999 when God called us to transition to a new season of
ministry back at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College to serve on the administrative staff of the
college where I served as President until I retired from the college in December 2022.
The church then extended a second call to me to serve as pastor in November of 2022. It is such
a joy to be back home! Shawanee Baptist Church is a special place to Penny and me. We look
forward to serving alongside these special people for many years to come.
Penny and I love people. We would like to meet you! We hope you will take the time to visit us
during a worship service and experience the fellowship that we have grown to love at Shawanee
Baptist Church.
Penny and I love our family. We are blessed with two children, Andrea (married to Eric) and
Aaron (Married to Rachel), and five grandchildren. We love to spend time with family, camping,
and taking walks together.

Donnie and Penny Fox

Music has been a part of life ever since I was a little girl.  I was raised in a Christain home where we would gather around in my grandparent's living room and make our joyful noise.  I studied piano and voice for many years at Lincoln Memorial University while earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.  I have been a member of Shawanee Baptist Church since I was 9 years old.  I raised two wonderful girls here and organized musicals for Easter and Christmas for the kids.  

Recently, we have changed some of the music but good old-fashion hymns will always be a part of our service. We have added some contemporary to engage the congregation to prepare our hearts to receive God's Word.  

We are looking forward to seeing you in person or as an online Facebook follower.  

We are blessed to have Mrs. Offie Owens serving Shawanee Baptist Church as our Children's Choir Director.  Offie is married to Jeremy Owens.  They have two little boys Zander and Axel.  They have been attending SBC for six years.

As a family they enjoy coming to church, going out to eat, movie nights, and just about anything as long as they do it together.  Offie loves the Lord and talks about what a blessing He has been to her and her family.

Offie accepted Christ as her Savior when she was 13 years old.  She has lived her life trying to please God and let His light shine through her.  Offie says she is a sinner saved by grace and she can't wait to see how the Lord will use her for His glory.

We are so happy to have Offie as our Children's Choir Director and we look forward to many years serving with Offie.
